UTC Gold Press Released

Mecaer Aviation Group S.p.A. is pleased to announce that its wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, Mecaer America, Inc. (MAI) has achieved the very prestigious UTC Aerospace Systems Supplier Gold status.

The Supplier Gold program was created to recognize UTC supplier optimal performance. Achieving Gold level status is extremely challenging and few companies have ever reached this milestone.

The stringent performance criteria achieved by MAI includes: 100% on-time delivery for a minimum of 12 months; zero quality escapes for 12 months; a UTC Supplier Health Assessment of 80% or higher (confirmed by on-site audit) and an UTC internal customer feedback survey score of 6 or higher (max score is 7).

MAI operates a 75,000 square foot facility located in Montreal (Laval), Quebec and is Mecaer Aviation Group’s center of excellence for the design, development, qualification and manufacture of fully integrated fixed and rotor wing aircraft landing gear systems.

MAI supplies UTC, on a build to print basis, major landing gear assemblies across the full line of Gulfstream business jets (G450/500/550/600/650). Products include complete nose gears, main gear shock absorbers, retract actuators, side brace locking actuators and uplocks.
